Solid Angles

The triangular form of the design emerges directly from the site’s inherent forces and Union Properties’ values and vision, embodying—unity, stability, and ambition through a strong prominent structure. Sustainability is woven into the architecture with a dynamic zigzag façade that provides solar shading between glazed units, balancing light and privacy. The green roof acts as both an ecological platform and a social space. Together, these elements merge innovation with environmental stewardship, creating a landmark for the new Union Properties head office

Massing

1/6 Site and context of Union Properties Head offices

2/6 Alignment with plot lines for better site utilization and maximum parking spaces. One side is tilted to gain best views of the Motor City.

3/6 Court opening allowing natural daylight to penetrate the building, maximizing interior views and ventilation.

4/6 Triangle tip raised to allow for a pristine and luxurious entry statement, along with proper illumination and grandness.

5/6 Entry Mass defined, proper exterior and interior views accommodated with mass formation

6/6 Chairman wing at the tip of the triangle, with 360 degrees views, overlooking the terraced roof and the Motor City. The roof is a green sustainable platform.

1/3 Two circulation cores penetrate all 7 floors and basement floors.

2/3 Main pillars, anchors and a steel structural braced frames support the building structure

3/3 A sustainable glass facade wraps the building structure, with overlapping units that provide shading throughout the skin, internally the core is wrapped
