Arab Bank Iraq

1/4 An existing seven-story building, originally constructed as a two-story villa structure, later expanded with additional floors and acquired by Arab Bank to serve as their new headquarters and branch.

2/4 The design introduced a new elevation inspired by Arab Bank’s architectural language, echoing the legacy and solid presence of its earliest regional buildings. A refined structural grid was developed, drawing from and integrating the original building’s skeleton to unify the old and new volumes within one cohesive architectural intervention.

3/4 The full elevation uplift was accompanied by a complete interior and fit-out design tailored to Arab Bank’s operational needs. The newly developed seven-story structure now houses the management offices, while the original two-story villa was rehabilitated to serve as the first Arab Bank branch in Baghdad.

4/4 The main building is supported by a cluster of ancillary structures on site, designed to function as service buildings. These were carefully planned to address the operational needs of the bank while adapting to the challenging conditions of Baghdad.
