Jumeirah Spine Mosque

An award-winning project for a competition to design a major mosque on the trunk of Al Jumeirah Palm in Dubai. The mosque was liberated from its traditional building typology, being itself constructed on a visionary new structure. The spiritual character is apparent in the indirect natural light filtered in the direction of Al Qibla. The detailed interiors manifest the contemporary approach in design.
